Solid wood strips go the full length of our butcher block countertops giving them a better appearance and more durability then blended butcher blocks offered by some other butcher block manufacturers where short strips are joined together. Butcher block countertops are also great for island tops, tabletops or bar tops. We now also offer the option for a sink cutout, stove cutout and other custom cuts. Most of our woodworkers are craftsman from the local Amish community.

Hard Maple sapwood is creamy white with a slight reddish brown tinge and the heartwood varies from light to dark reddish brown. Hard Maple has a close fine, uniform texture and is generally straight-grained. Hard Maple is hard and heavy with good strength properties, in particular its high resistance to abrasion and wear. We use only the higher quality grades of Hard Maple lumber for our products.
