All our wood stair parts including wood stair treads and risers can be ordered unfinished or prefinished with tread coat, a very durable two-component, commercial grade conversion varnish specifically made for high traffic ares. We can also stain your wood stair treads and risers with a standard stain color or apply a custom stain of your choice. We also provide stain match service. Choose from our standard sizes or contact us for a custom wood stair riser quote. Stair treads and risers over 48" long may be slightly oversize with uneven ends.

Our standard wood stair risers are 3/4" thick. x 8" tall

All wood stair parts are custom made to order. Our Stair Risers are sanded and maintained perfectly on top, while the bottom is left in a potentially rough state, untouched, because when installed, it will never be visible. Unfinished wood stair parts ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Prefinished wood stair parts ship in 3 to 4 weeks.

Poplar

Poplar sapwood is creamy white and may be streaked, while the heartwood can vary from pale yellowish brown to olive green. Poplar has a medium to fine texture and is straight-grained. Poplar takes and holds paint, enamel and stain exceptionally well. We use only the higher quality grades of poplar lumber for our products.
