Our stair treads and risers are milled with new state of the art equipment. We can make the stair treads with a left hand, right hand, or double end return to any length. We can also make stair treads and risers in almost any other hardwood species.
Red Oak. The sapwood of red oak is white to light brown and the heartwood is a pinkish reddish brown. Red oak is similar in general appearance to white oak, but with a slightly less pronounced figure due to the smaller rays. Red oak is mostly straight-grained, with a coarse texture. Red oak stair treads can be stained with a wide range of finish tones and has great wear-resistance. We use only the higher quality grades of red oak lumber for our red oak stair treads.
