Our Roots

In 1958, a seed was planted in Burton, Ohio. Through careful nurturing and meticulous attention to detail, the Hardwood Lumber Company progressively grew from a small seedling as a local sawmill into a great lumber company spreading its branches outward to become a nationally recognized producer of quality architectural millwork, stair treads and risers, butcherblock countertops, and a full line of brushes and brooms. Today, its offspring include Mouldings One, The St. Nick Brush Company, and Sheoga Flooring and Paneling, Inc.
